Hall 300, Institute of Solid State Physics – BAS
10:00 – 11:00 – Dr. Blagoy Spasov Blagoev
Deposition of superconducting and magnetic nanofilms and heterostructures. Electrical and magnetic characterization of materials
The scientific work of Blagoy Blagoev is mainly in the field of superconductivity and magnetism. It will be presented the investigation on spin polarized injection, CMR and LFMR effects, temperature switching effect from NMR to PMR in HTS/FM and FM/FM heterostructures. These effects are of great interest from fundamental and practical point of view. Such nanostructures are potential candidates for micro/nano- electronics and spintronics. Another research interest is connected with investigation of magnetic properties of bulks and nano-grains powders: HTS/FM multifunctional composites, superparamagnetic magnetite, and biogenic iron oxides/hydroxides produced by Leptothrix ochracea.
11:00 – 12:00 – Dr. Jérôme Leclercq
Synthesis and development of materials in form of membrane, powder and thin films
Jérôme Leclercq worked in 2009 in plasma polymerization to improve membrane properties for fuel cell. After an experience in Ottawa where he was working in materials field to develop new composite materials from aluminosilicate, he worked in catalysis applied to air pollution abatement and designed a new reactor able to use electromagnetic heating.
